Office of the Director of Education, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Kokrajhar, has announced recruitment for Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) Schools. BTC Teachers Recruitment 2025: Overview
Available Vacancies:
- Lower Primary (LP) Schools: Will be notified later.
- Upper Primary (UP) Schools: Will be notified later.
Salary: Pay Band-2 (PB-2) with a salary range of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/-, plus Grade Pay and other allowances.

BTC Teachers Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
General Conditions:
Citizenship and Residency: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent residents of Assam.TET Qualification: Candidates must have passed ATET/CTET/BTC TET for the respective level (LP or UP).
Language Requirement: The Language-I or Language-II in the TET must match the medium of instruction of the school applied for (e.g., Assamese for Assamese-medium schools, Bodo for Bodo-medium schools).
Age Limit (as on the reference date):
Family Norm Policy: Candidates with more than two living children born on or after January 1, 2021, are ineligible.
Application Restriction:
- Unreserved Category: 18 to 40 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to 42 years
- OBC/MOBC: Up to 43 years
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): Up to 45 years
- Persons with Disability (PwD): Up to 50 years
- Candidates can apply for only one post in one district.
- Regular teachers already working in LP/ UP schools under DE, BTC, or DEE, Assam, cannot apply for the same level.

Lower Primary (LP) Assistant Teacher
- Essential Qualifications:
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks.
- Graduation or 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- ATET/CTET/BTC TET for Lower Primary.
- Marking Weightage:
- Higher Secondary: 5% of marks
- D.El.Ed/B.El.Ed: 5% of marks
- TET: 85% of marks
- Non-Essential (Max 5 marks):
- NCC "C" Certificate: 5 marks, "B" Certificate: 3 marks
- National-level sports achievement: 5 marks
- National-level fine arts/cultural activities: 5 marks
- Total: 100 marks
- Note: Candidates with "Not Clear" (NC) status in any qualification are ineligible. Only the first betterment exam marks for Higher Secondary are considered.
Upper Primary (UP) Teachers

- Higher Secondary: 5% of marks
- Graduation (Major subject marks if applicable): 5% of marks
- D.El.Ed/B.Ed: 5% of marks
- TET: 80% of marks
- Non-Essential (Max 5 marks): Same as LP
- Total: 100 marks

- Marking Weightage: Same as Assistant Teacher (UP).

BTC Teachers Recruitment 2025: Application Process
- Visit the official website and register.
- Select district, medium of school, and category of post.
- Fill out the online application form, including ATET/CTET/BTC TET details, personal information, and a declaration regarding the small family norm.
- Upload genuine documents, which will be verified via DigiLocker, Barcode/QR Code scanning, and back-office checks.
- Submit the application to receive a Unique Number for future reference.
- No offline applications are accepted.
- Candidates cannot submit multiple applications against the same TET Roll Number.
- Any discrepancy or fraudulence in documents will lead to candidature cancellation, future recruitment bans, and legal action.
