Assam Rifles Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Age
As on 1 January 2025:
- 18 years to 25 years
- Age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years (as per government rules)
Educational & Trade Requirements
- Rifleman / Riflewoman (General Duty):
- Minimum Qualification: 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board.
- No technical or trade certificate required.
- Both Male and Female candidates are eligible.
- Warrant Officer – Radio Mechanic:
- 10th Pass from a recognized board or equivalent.
- Two years Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in Radio and Television or Electronics from a recognized institute.
- OR 12th Pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects.
- Only Male candidates are eligible.
- Warrant Officer – Draftsman:
- 10+2 (HSSLC) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board or university.
- Three years Diploma in Architectural Assistantship from a recognized institute or university.
- Only Male candidates are eligible.
- Havildar – X-Ray Assistant:
- 10+2 (HSSLC) with Science stream from a recognized board or university.
- Diploma in Radiology/X-Ray Technician from a government-approved institute.
- Only Male candidates are eligible.
- Rifleman – Electrician Mechanic (Vehicle):
- 10th Pass from a recognized board or equivalent.
- Two years ITI Certificate in Motor Mechanic or Electrician trade from a recognized institute.
- Practical experience in vehicle maintenance preferred.
- Only Male candidates are eligible.
- Rifleman – Vehicle Mechanic Fitter:
- 10th Pass from a recognized board.
- ITI Certificate in Fitter/Automobile/Vehicle Mechanic trade.
- Hands-on experience in handling and repairing vehicles preferred.
- Only Male candidates are eligible.
- Rifleman – Plumber:
- 10th Pass from a recognized board or equivalent.
- Two years ITI Certificate in Plumbing trade from a government-recognized institute.
- Work experience in plumbing or water supply projects desirable.
- Only Male candidates are eligible.
- Rifleman – Safai:
- 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board.
- Should be physically fit and capable of performing cleaning and sanitation duties.
- Only Male candidates are eligible.
Nationality
- Candidates must be Indian citizens. Valid ID and domicile certificates must be produced during verification.
